Last month the hubby and I had a little getaway to Rose River Farm. We have passed it several times as we drive to Graves Mountain for the annual Apple Harvest Festival. I was intriqued by the unique looking round cabins you can see from the road. On their website, the cabins are described as “a modern interpretation of a Mongolian yurt.” I loved the cabin – it was modern but cozy inside. I’m not really a roughin’ it kind of girl! 🙂 They also offer fly fishing nearby but considering it was January and neither of us was too jazzed about fishing in freezing weather we opted for some wine tasting instead. Within a 30-40 minute drive, we were able to visit several wineries – my favorites being DuCard Vineyards and Sharp Rock Vineyards. By no means are we wine experts but as Chris said, “I know what tastes good to me!” We learned alot about vineyards and wine, had some good laughs, and found a few bottles of wine to bring home. 🙂
