I thought these images were appropriate today as we remember the men and women of our Armed Forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. A few weeks ago, my family was blessed to participate in welcoming WWII era veterans to DC through the Honor Flight program. This program transports America’s veterans to DC to visit memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. This particular day, 169 WWII veterans (the oldest being 97!) arrived at Reagan National to a huge welcome they were not expecting complete with balloons and a band! The feeling and emotion was overwhelming. Let’s just say we all needed some tissues. What an amazing morning!
