Megan | Seniors | Stafford Senior Photographer

This session is all about bright florals and spring colors…two of my favorite things. Add in one of the sweetest girls, and we had the recipe for a perfect day!  I’ve been blessed to know Megan for several years, since she was in middle school. She has been an amazing model for me in several promo shoots, and I was so thrilled the day for her senior session finally arrived. Megan loves music, and has a lovely singing voice. After gradation, she will be attending Christopher Newport University in the fall. We utilized downtown Fredericksburg, where we faced lots of wind, but Megan was such a trooper and was all smiles regardless of the breezy weather. Her beautiful hair and makeup accentuated her natural beauty (hair and makeup done by Nicole Mathewson).

Let’s talk about layering, girls! By adding or taking away a layer, you can actually create one to two additional looks. This is a great strategy for your senior session, especially when you may want a few different looks without changing your whole outfit. Ideal layers are denim jackets, cardigans and kimonos, like what Megan has on here (this cute kimono is under $20!). You could wear a solid dress like Megan has opted for, and add a floral kimono on top for two completely different looks. Swap shoes and accessories to dress it up or down, and create two outfits from just a few pieces. With a long layering necklace, you can add visual interest and create a longer line of focus from the face (her necklace is similar to this Kendra Scott pendant).
