Back in November, we adopted a kitten. Up until then I had resisted the kids pleading each time we saw a cute kitten. “Please mom can we get her? Please! Please! She is sooooo cute!” We had an 18 year old cat at home and I didn’t think she would be too fond of a spunky new kitten in the house. But this time…I couldn’t resist. Those big adorable eyes and that little gray ball of cuteness was too much. God knew what he was doing though…he brought this new kitten into our lives at just the right time. Just two weeks later we lost our 18 year old Abby. She lived a long life but her body just couldn’t keep up anymore. The new kitten, Lily, helped fill the empty spot. I know those of you that aren’t pet (or cat)people probably thing I’m crazy! But they really do become a part of your family. We were all sad.
Well…this past weekend we adopted another kitten, Olivia. She is very shy and has been living in our closet. My husband is hoping she moves out soon! She is starting to come out though and is very sweet. She loves to roll over and be scratched on the belly like a dog. Too funny! Meet Lily and Olivia…
I often have clients ask if they can bring a pet to the portrait session. Yes! I have photographed several families and their dogs (and a horse!) If you are interested, I would love to talk with your more about a session involving your pet. There are some guidelines we should keep in mind though. Before the session, we can talk and see if including your pet is the best choice for your session. Call or email if you are interested and we can talk about it!
