Friends + Styling by Tra’ Chic Boutique | Virginia Teen Photography

Last winter, these adorable friends and I tried to connect for a photoshoot, but busy schedules got in the way. We couldn’t make it work till now, but it was sure worth the wait! The gorgeous, late-summer light of the afternoon was just right. After a few adjustments to our plans and locations, we were ready to go! And then, Tracye of Tra’ Chic Boutique agreed to help us out with her expert eye and amazing styling from her boutique. Each girl brought her own cute outfits, and then Tracye provided each girl with a boutique outfit as well. If you can’t tell, we had a BLAST; chatting, laughing, and capturing some of the beautiful images. Would you believe that most of these images were taken next to a parking lot? I love finding unusual locations that look unexciting, and using the perfect light to make them amazing.

Something really fun that these girls did was wear outfits that could transition from summer straight into fall. This can be done using pieces like cardigans (which can be used for chilly summer evenings), and boots. The right boots can be worn with everything from dresses to jeans, like our model has done here with the stylish black ankle boots. The cute wool hats that lots of gals are wearing now (our model is wearing a berry color one, shop similar here) can also go from summer to fall. In the summer, pair it with a maxi and sandals, and in the fall, add a draped sweater, skinny jeans, and knee-high boots.
