A few weekends ago I had an amazing opportunity to be part of the photography team for the Children’s National Race for Every Child. It was a fun, inspiring, uplifting and emotional morning. It was so incredible to watch families and teams encourage each other through the race and to see the sense of pride and accomplishment on the faces of so many little ones. After the race, we each had a different story that really touched our heart. For me, it was watching a young boy finish the race hand in hand with friends and adults that obviously love him very much. As I stopped them to ask for a quick photo, they told me that he just had heart surgery a few weeks ago. Wow! As I watched them approach the finish line holding hands, I fought back a few tears. What an incredible moment to witness!
Special thanks to my friend, Emily, of Emily Weiss Photography for inviting me to share in this experience!
