I just love downtown Fredricksburg, and was so excited to land there for this shoot with Cassidy. We ducked around a corner, and found an amazing alley with the perfect afternoon light. I don’t think much makes me as happy as the perfect location! Cassidy is a senior at Stafford High School, and was so sweet and fun to be around. I know she is getting so thrilled about graduation and what lies ahead for her. We ended our session near the river, where the sun was going down, and it was the perfect end to our time together.

Gals, let’s chat about accessories! Have you heard the “1,2,3” rule? I was reading a fashion blog the other day that talked about it, and it made so much sense. When you’re getting ready to leave the house, and you are dressed in a simple or plain outfit, add 1 accessory to round it out. For example, if you’re wearing a tee shirt, that’s your “1”, and add jeans to be your “2”, but then you need a number 3…your statement or accessory! Cassidy’s adorable plaid scarf is the perfect example of how the perfect “3” can boost an outfit to amazing levels. She did the same thing with her cute Lilly Pulitzer inspired scarf that accentuates her navy vest. Accessories can be the thing that make your outfit stand out, and by utilizing one great piece, it prevent it from overwhelming your session.
