Before the session:
Prior to your session, we will take time to chat, and get to know each other. We can talk about what you are hoping for your session, location options, clothing suggestions, etc. You will also receive a welcome packet with more details regarding your session. If you have questions at any time, please let me know! Nothing is more important to me than reaching your expectations, and giving you the portraits you’ve dreamed of.
Your session:
Sessions typically last 1-2 hours – enough time to feel comfortable, relaxed, and have fun! My speciality is on-location, natural light photography. The location may be your home, a park, or other mutually-agreed upon outdoor location. I have some favorite spots around town so feel free to ask for suggestions! With children, I’ll spend some time getting to know them so they feel comfortable with me. I also find that giving them space to explore provides wonderful opportunities for capturing the most natural expressions. For family sessions, I will probably take some “posed” pictures, but I will also ask you to just interact and have fun together so I can catch some natural moments as well. These are often the most loved images, and the ones that accurately capture who your family really is. My photographic style is natural and relaxed. Your session will be just the same – natural, relaxed, and unhurried.

Senior year! What an accomplishment. This is an irreplaceable time to look back at all your accomplishments, and look forward to the opportunities ahead!
